Multiple fully-funded graduate research and undergraduate research positions available from the Next Generation Sensing Technology (NEXT) Lab in Electrical Engineering at the University of Rhode Island (URI) πΊπΈ
Our group of engineering researchers incorporate cutting-edge advances in RF/optical sensing devices and embedded heterogeneous System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms (ARM, FPGA, etc.) into novel sensor technologies that address critical problems in science and industry.
Our group is currently well funded. Research projects include LiDAR sensing, distributed sensing, and hardware security technologies all towards future smart city applications. Knowledge/skills you will gain include, but not limited to, system/PCB-level RF/optical design, digital design, software-hardware co-design), signal/power integrity, etc
All graduate-level positions are fully funded through research assistantship (RA) including tuition waiver and stipend (~ $2,100 per month).
